British Eventing’s Regional Youth programme is designed to support the next generation of event riders as they progress in the sport. It gives riders aged between 12 – 21 the chance to learn whilst competing against their own age group and allows them to chart their progress through easy-to-follow leagues. It provides a clear goal with the prestigious BE Youth Regional Championships and offers the thrill and camaraderie of being part of a team.
BE Regional Youth Championships
The BE Regional Youth Championships are the ideal goal for any younger rider, with the opportunity not only to compete for yourself but also to have the honour of representing your region at a national championship. One of the most popular elements of these championships is the team competitions, where riders come together to try to take home the overall honours for their region.
The championships are split over two venues, designed to give two unique championship experiences and to help set progressive goals for riders to work towards and achieve.
The two prestigious National Championships for 2024 are as follows:
- The BE80 Youth Championship (BE80Ou18) & the BE90 Youth Championship (BE90Ou18)
- Taking place at Chillington Hall in Staffordshire from 14-15 September 2024.
- The BE100 Youth Championship (BE100Ou18) & the Novice Youth Championship (CCI2*-L)
- Taking place at Bishop Burton in East Yorkshire from 25-27 July 2024.
Find out more about the Championships here.
BE Regional Youth Leagues
All results achieved in BE age classes are collated in The BE Regional Leagues, powered by Equiratings. The leagues provide a transparency of Youth Regional Rankings – not only enabling riders to chart their progress against their fellow competitors, but also providing a clear qualification route for the National Youth Championships. The 2024 Youth Leagues will go live the beginning of February.
Please NOTE British Eventing is reverting to the system used last year where results in any class at the relevant level will count towards qualification for the Leagues. This does not include PC classes or Go BE classes.

Which region am I in?
The country is divided into eight regions, as shown in our map above. If you live on the border of two regions you can opt for the region in which you compete most frequently.
Riders are welcome to travel to any region for training, but you must align themselves with their home region to come.
