Newsflash

The Little Tiger Trophy Little Tiger was the tiny but feisty grey mare ridden by Phoebe Buckley who gave so much pleasure to so many as she completed 6 four stars, including 4 Badmintons. She lived a stone’s throw from Ely Eventing Centre, competed over every course here, and was the trail blazer round the advanced track run for the first time in 2010. The Little Tiger Trophy is presented in her honour, by her owner Polly Taylor, long time supporter of Little Downham Horse Trials.    This year (2023) it was won by Sally Chamberlain riding GIDO G. GIDO G is 162 cm. There were 2 other 162cm horses who went clear XC - all in the advanced.  The rules are "The Little Tiger Trophy is presented to the smallest horse who completes either the Advanced or 4*-S class with a clear cross country round at the autumn event - Little Downham (3). In the event of a draw the trophy will go to the horse whose score climbs the furthest after dressage.”  The other two small horses were Falco whose placing decreased and MHS Seventeen who climbed one place. GIDO G’s position rose from 20th to 9th
