Direction from the Government confirms, sports that are formally organised by a sports club or similar organisation, with guidance issued by a sports governing body, are permitted to take place. Therefore, fixtures affiliated to British Eventing – the National Governing Body for the sport – are permitted to continue. 

All BE fixtures are taking place behind closed doors without spectators and members are reminded that the Sport Resumption Protocols remain in place for all events. The measures have been introduced to areas of the North East of England – namely, Northumberland, North Tyneside, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Gateshead, South Tyneside, Sunderland and County Durham.
