Member Updates and Important Reminders
This weekend will see our second fixtures run after we resumed sport on 10 July. Below are some key reminders and updates, including our event protocols and office opening hours:
EXTERNAL POWER MAINTENANCE *Change to Scheduled Time*
On Saturday, 18 July, external power maintenance is scheduled to take place between 7.30am and 5pm which will leave the British Eventing Head Office without power.
During the outage, members will not be able to make entries via the BE website. Therefore, we request that all members, where possible, make entries ahead of Saturday, 18 July.
PRIZE MONEY
As per the Return to Sport Protocols, awarding prize money is not currently mandated by BE and is at the discretion of each organiser. If organisers do provide prize money, it will be paid by BACS and competitors will need to ensure that they have emailed an Online Prize Money Claim Form to the organiser.
Organisers should state their Prize Money and Prize Policy on their schedule and this should be correct at the time of entry.
BALLOTING
With some events needing to ballot entries, please find a reminder of the Ballot Rules under rule 4.4 of the BE Rules and Members' Handbook HERE.
START FEES
You will be required to pay your start fee with your entry. Please ensure, when making your entry, that you tick the box and add the fee.
Start Fee Refunds
If you do not start, your start fee will be refunded. If you get balloted your start fee and entry fee will be refunded to you but please be aware that currently these are being refunded back separately.
MEMBERSHIP, HORSE SEASON TICKETS AND ENTRIES
If you are intending to make an entry then please ensure that your horse is registered, and that you have valid membership and horse season tickets in advance of the Ballot Date.
DAY PASS MEMBERSHIP
We are aware that when competitors are entering a BE80(T) on a Day Pass Membership that a Rider Day Pass is being added to the basket incorrectly. The cost of this pass will be refunded back you and we apologise for this issue. The team are working to fix as quickly as possible.
MULTIPLE ENTRIES
We are aware that some members are having difficulties adding multiple entries to the basket. Our team are investigating but, if you should be faced with this issue, please add each entry to the basket individually. Please ensure you click add a new entry for the second and subsequent entries otherwise you will be editing the first entry.
OFFICE HOURS AND CONTACTING BE
Currently we only have access to the BE Head Office between 9.30am and 3.00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The main phone line will be available during these times, but please note it may get busy during those hours: 02476 698 856
