The Talent Pathway helps support young riders as they transition through British Eventing’s age groups, including those moving into senior levels. The purpose is to nurture and develop the next generation of talent enabling athletes to fulfil their potential.
Athlete and horse welfare is at the forefront of the Talent Pathway. It aims to encourage riders to stay engaged with the sport and enable them to be independent, well-educated riders who take responsibility for their own performances.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Talent Pathway is an annual programme which runs from January to December each calendar year, with ongoing performance reviews of eligible combinations.
The programme comprises of different tiers, each of which focuses on a different rider and horse demographic.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
You do not need to apply to be part of the Talent Pathway. Eligible combinations are identified via BE and are contacted directly to invite them onto the programme.
Continued inclusion onto the Talent Pathway is determined by attendance of training camps and the continuation of relevant competitive performance results.
